Detection of pedestrians: video processing embedded in the heart of BLAXTAIR®
BLAXTAIR® is the only video recognition system designed for moving machinery. BLAXTAIR®'s performance relies on world-unique video recognition algorithms. Those video processing algorithms have been developed by CEA LIST Institute over the past fifteen years. This patented image processing technology is used exclusively in BLAXTAIR®.
BLAXTAIR® compares the images it gets to a learning database containing the visual signature characteristic of pedestrians. BLAXTAIR® is covered by 5 patents.
Very rapid processing
BLAXTAIR® is designed for on-board use. It is capable of detecting and identifying an obstacle in less than 300 ms.Combination of processes and sensors
BLAXTAIR® combines several image processing technologies. This enables to achieve an extremely high detection level along with a practically inexistent false alarm rate like no other system on the market, irrespective of the technology used.
BLAXTAIR®s main sensor is a stereoscopic video camera. It is designed to withstand severe conditions. For some special contexts BLAXTAIR® integrates secondary sensors to reduce further the detection time.
